Yet as technology and models for innovation have evolved, the means by which the&nbsp;government seeks groundbreaking tech for&nbsp;defense or&nbsp;national security has not. &nbsp;There is a clear difference between innovation in the open,&nbsp;competitive and thriving commercial sector and innovation in the closed,&nbsp;secretive and classified world of the government sector. Does the US have the right model to excel in the current day?
